Since Christmas my skin has gone to crap. This is as a result of a number of different factors; my insatiable love for chocolate, hitting the bottom of pretty much every skincare item I own and having empty pockets for all of January (and February). Think of any skincare problem, dry/flaky skin, oily congested patches, horrendous spots, dark under eye circles, I have it all. Lucky me. Scraping the bottom of my skincare barrel over the past month, I have slapped on whatever I found. And let me tell you, my face has not been a happy camper. Payday rolled around and out came the debit card. With two repurchases and two newbies being added to my dwindling stash, let the skin rehabilitation commence.
Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins: The love of my life. This is my third tub of this little baby and I never want to relive those two months I spent without it, I'll spare you the harrowing details. It's seriously expensive, but definitely worth the splurge, lasting me about three months using it every night. Slap a pea-size amount onto the ole' visage at night after using a face oil (my pick is the Pai Rosehip Oil), sit back and let it work it's magic.
Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask: Having had a year long love affair with this tropical smelling beauty, I cried a little when I squeezed this and out came no more. I'd buy it for the smell alone, but it works pretty darn well at plumping up this neglected and dehydrated face too. No brainer, definite repurchase.
Aesop Parsley Seed Facial Cleansing Mask: The one that was longed for, since forever. I've been trying to work my way through my Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask and vowed not to buy another that does a similar job until it was finished. 80% through and I caved, and boy am I glad I did. More gentle than the Origins offering, yet still more cleansing, I've had to stop myself from using this gem every night of the week.
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado: First impression? Love it, no dryness under these peepers. But does it do something my night cream can't (fix my damn dark circles)? The jury's still out on that one.
